With great events, comes great planning

It’s funny how some of the most fantastic, exciting and enjoyable times of our lives are also rated as some of the most stressful and getting married comes in within the top ten.  There’s a lot of planning and coordination. The who, when and where. The “who” can become a delicate, political, balancing act with family and friends, but it’s an opportunity for you to include and involve the people you hold most dearest as part of your Bridal party……and remember, these are the people who hold your fate on your Hen or Stag do after all, so choose wisely....

No we really aren’t going mad but already Christmas photo shoots have taken place and we have been tagging our items into the relevant Christmas categories on Not On The High Street.   Talk in the industry is turning to the big trends of 2017, and we have began discussing new colours for next year and new product ideas.    So we are using this as an excuse to crack out the mulled wine and predict what we think are going to be key trends for Matchimony in 2017. How are our dresses made?

Posted on

We talk a lot on our website about how Matchimony was founded, the ethos of what we believe in and what we provide however we thought it would be nice to talk about the main backbone of our company- how our items are made. None of our items are made in factories, all are made by our own dedicated individual team of tailors, all by hand- and that makes us very different. The Classic First off we begin with our base pattern cutting our fabrics by hand to exactly fit. From there the intricacy of making these dresses really starts!...

The World has a favourite colour!

Posted on

We have seen recently a huge surge in requests for our ranges of pinks and oranges across our spectrum focusing in on our soft Pale Pink, our striking Peach and vibrant Bright Pink. It got us thinking (and wasting time on Wikipedia) what is the Worlds’ favorite colour? Is there one or is it purely trend based? After wasting A LOT of time online we found this chart from YouGov.uk which shows a survey conducted across 10 countries across four continents and it’s pretty incredible that the World definitely has a favorite colour- Blue! This was especially apparent in the...

Happy Birthday!

Posted on

So in the last 3 months we have celebrated 3 first Birthday’s, which on reflection is slightly crazy but also something we are immensely proud of.    First in February we celebrated a year of our Matchimony website, which is a big milestone for us, as it is when the brand became available to the World.   Then in March and April we have celebrated the first Birthday’s of our babies, who are growing up so quickly and are our reason for everything! We can’t believe how quickly the year has gone and so we thought we should take a breath and...
